professional training
For the past 21 years, CAPP has collaborated with the New York City Department of Education and Joshua Marquez, their Citywide Coordinator for Child Abuse and Neglect, to establish and maintain a program that provides professionals with the most timely and innovative methods for the prevention of child abuse. CAPP is a NYC Department of Education contracted provider of services.

The curriculum includes discussion of sexual abuse perpetrated on the internet, effective methods for handling abuse disclosure statements from children and offers training in the specific interview skills that have proven most successful when gathering information to make a report to Child Protective Services.

In addition, attendance at the training establishes eligibility for your school to receive a CAPP Child Safety Workshop. This award-winning workshop utilizes life-size puppets to teach children the necessary skills to recognize, resist and report instances of abuse and neglect.

CAPP's next professional training is:
Friday, December 14, 2007
9am - 5pm
The Vincent J. Fontana Center For Child Protection
27 Christopher Street , New York, NY 10014
